Local ARES

ARES volunteers are best organized at the community level where they know and train with their fellow ham radio operators. They live in the towns and counties where they serve.

The ARRL Sacramento Valley Section includes 20 counties in Northern California and the Tahoe Basin Area. The ARES teams are organized by county but also grouped by district for organization, communication, and resource management.

Each County is managed by an Emergency Coordinator (EC).

Each District is coordinated by a District Emergency Coordinator (DEC).

The Sacramento Valley Section is organized by a Section Emergency Coordinator (SEC).
